Lt Col Roberto Beltran

Lieutenant Colonel, Belize Military

Lieutenant Colonel Roberto E. Beltran is a member of the Belize military with a two year assignment in the Barbados military in charge of Staff Office Exercises at the Regional Security System (RSS) Training Institute in Barbados. He was born on July 12, 1982, in Orange Walk Town, Belize. Beltran enlisted in the Belize Defense Force in 2000 and underwent recruit training before attending the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the UK to train as an officer. He has since completed a range of military education and training courses in various countries, including the International Officer Leadership and Ethics Course in the USA and the Civil Military Relations/Interactions Course in Colombia.

Beltran has held various command and administrative positions during his career, including Commanding Officer of the Services and Support Battalion and Officer Commanding of Foxtrot Company, 1st Infantry Battalion. He has also served as a field intelligence officer and as the Senior Staff Officer Intelligence and Security at Belize Defense Force Headquarters. Beltran has received several medals and honors for his service, including the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal and the Sovereigns’ Platoon Award from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
