Joyce Chen has spent over 20 years in the hotel & hospitality space building expertise in postions ranging from front of the house lead concierge, back of the house management to working for leading providers of hospitality technology. Her journey in world class service and problem solving knowledge began while attending The University of California, San Diego for her degree in Communications and serving as a Beach Attendant for the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club.
With a passion for technology and puzzle solving, the next steps in Joyce’s were in Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide (now Marriott) where she served as a Senior Customer Support Rep for their proprietary property management software (PMS), Galaxy (now Lightspeed). Thereafter, Joyce returned to front of house positions working for multiple leading Las Vegas casinos in roles dealing with the most valuable clients including Mandalay Bay, Aria, Planet Hollywood, and Wynn.
In 2013, Joyce moved to leverage her insights, diverse skills and operational experience with a focus on data and technology and joined Agilysys where she is currently a Solutions Consultant specializing in software configuration, implementation and training for various hospitality related programs.
Joyce is a key advisor to Global Village Enterprise which is a group leveraging extraordinary relationship capital with a CRM platform to build and expand high impact organizations globally.
Joyce’s propensity for puzzles and solutions oriented problem solving has made her a valuable asset for those around her. In her spare time, Joyce enjoys travel, cooking, and putting together intricate 3D wooden puzzles. Combining her builder’s mentality with a love of the culinary arts, she is also in the process of creating a small dessert business with her husband featuring bite size butter mochi cakes.
